Junzo KashiharaSharpJunzo Kashihara, worked on the International Modern Hospital Show and made it a success. Mr. Kashihara served as the in-geo point person for this event, recruiting Continua Health Alliance member company representatives to serve as staff in the alliance booth and managed logistics and leads at the event. A sign of Mr. Kashihara's success was that he successfully recruited 8 different member companies to staff Continua's representation at the event. |

Per NathanaelsonCypak ABPer Nathanaelson is skipper of the Cypak team that played a big part in launching the first Continua demonstrations in San Francisco and Boston. Cypak provided electronics to link several devices to the Continua infrastructure and manager software to interconnect with back-end systems. |

Kurt KermesNonin MedicalKurt Kermes has been a rock solid contributor to both IEEE and Bluetooth standardization efforts. He has worked tirelessly to generate the ISO/IEEE 11073-10404 Pulse oximeter specialization as well as contribute to the ISO/IEEE 11073-20601 effort. In addition, he created the first device transmitting physiological using the IEEE PHD protocols over either Bluetooth or USB. He has promoted the quality of the documents by attending plugfests in IEEE, Bluetooth, and Continua. He created the first prototype implementation delivering physiological measurements using the 11073 Personal Health Device Data Exchange Protocol. Kurt has also assisted in the Continua TCWG efforts to define the Implementation Guidelines as well as the Testable Items collection. Kurt has been a Software Engineer at Nonin Medical since 2004. Prior to that, Kurt was employed at Silicon Graphics and Cray Research. |

Brigitte PiniewskiOregon Medical LaboratoriesDr. Piniewski provides invaluable leadership and subject matter expertise to the Employer HR Working group. Brigitte developed the conceptual framework from which our working group bases many of its thought leadership pieces and activities from - the notion of modifiable health as it relates to personal telehealth technologies. She has demonstrated leadership as the principal and contributing authorship of the Continua EHWRG Future State White Paper. Her contributions have accelerated our workgroup's efforts in assisting organizations capture the next quantum leap in worksite wellness effectiveness. Dr. Brigitte Piniewski is the Director of BioWellness Research at Oregon Medical Laboratories and Co-Chair of the Continua Health Alliance, Human Resources Working Group. She earned her medical degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C., and completed her internship at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. Dr. Piniewski is a primary care specialist who has several years of international experience, including both the US and Canada. Although most of Dr. Piniewski's career has involved direct clinical care, her more recent role is as a health trends and strategy analyst for Oregon Medical Laboratories. She has a full-time commitment to researching the clinical utility of integrated approaches to optimizing health across populations. Dr Piniewski is skilled in connecting expert insights from the fields of clinical medicine, scientific research, corporate wellness, and high-tech innovation to demonstrate the alignments that ultimately support models of sustainable population health. Modern technology now widely available will move community health beyond that which is realized today. |

Eric WhiteIntel CorporationEric developed the ISO/IEEE 11073 Health & Fitness device specializations, soliciting input and review from numerous industry players and reconciling hundreds of comments and questions. His technical expertise and great communication & interpersonal skills enabled cooperative efforts among numerous individuals and companies and drove consensus on key issues in order to complete this work. Eric White is a Senior Architect and Strategist in Intel's Digital Health Group. Mr. White is responsible for identifying and developing healthcare and technology standards and business opportunities that enable new markets and user experiences. Currently, he is active in the Continua Health Alliance as the Editor in the Use Case Working Group and has authored two fitness device standards in IEEE 11073 that are used by Continua. Prior to joining Intel in 2006, he spent 10 years at Cerner Corporation where he served as an Architect and Solution Manager for various application, service and middleware projects. |
