The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is holding a Medical
Devices Information Day on the recent revisions to the Medical Devices
Directive (MDD 2007/47/EC), concentrating on the extra regulatory demands on

expertise and is adaptive, resourceful, responsive and capable of
facilitating timely CE Mark approvals. NSAI has this ability and fully

announced the establishment of the European Centre for Connected Health. Also
announced by the government was the allocation of $96 million to help bring
5,000 people suffering from chronic disease in Northern Ireland to a remote
monitoring service by 2011.

Continua Personal Telehealth Matchmaking Event

The Continua Health Alliance held a Personal
Telehealth Matchmaking session at ATA 2008 this year! Continua launched an
online web service to help health care service providers distribute personal
telehealth project requests (RFPs) to the Continua vendor community. This
session described the new service and also gave the stage to some service
provider companies who made brief presentations outlining their RFP details
and goals. Vendor companies now have the chance to network with these service
providers one on one to exchange information and ideas.
