Continua is an international not-for-profit industry group and the leading organization convening global technology industry standards to develop end-to-end, plug-and-play connectivity for personal connected health. Continua's Design Guidelines based on global industry standards and test tools enable more efficient, standardized development and create new market opportunities for interoperable personal health devices and services used to collect and relay vital health information and education. The Design Guidelines currently represent 13 international standards bodies and have been approved as the global standard for personal connected health devices and systems within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Continua is a founding member of the Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHA), an international non-profit organization established by Continua, mHealth Summit and HIMSS to represent the consumer voice in personal connected health.
